Martuwarra River Keepers
Main Hall
12:00 PM – 12:45 PM
The Martuwarra River Keepers are a workforce of Traditional Custodians using Indigenous science to repair and regenerate the Martuwarra (Fitzroy River).
This presentation shares how cultural knowledge, community action, and on-Country projects — from Boab tree monitoring and mapping river trails to designing cultural burning strategies — are protecting this sacred river system. Learn how the River Keepers are building sustainable local economies, defending water rights, and ensuring a thriving future for Martuwarra River Country.
